A Rare Paratrooper’s Sleeve Badge consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac 48 mm x 56In blue lacquered die stamped aluminum, 35. 9 mm (w) x 53. 7 mm, with four punched holes, with period wear, fine and rare. Footnote: This type of badge was worn during wartime by trained Croatian Paratroopers, sewn onto left upper arm of a tunic. Only several hundreds Croats trained as paratroopers during WWII.
