Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm I, the reverse with an inscription of KRIEGER VERDIENST (WARRIOR MERIT), within a laurel wreath joined together at the bottom by a ribbon, unmarked, measuring 24. 74 mm in diameter, weighing 8. 2 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
