Montenegro, Kingdom. An Order of Danilo, Commander, c.1916 Auction Archive No29 INTRIER 16( I Orden Knjaza Danila I). Instituted in 1853. Type IV. (1861 1918 Issue). Likely of French manufacture, a large silver gilt decoration presenting a cross with white, red and blue enamelled arms, the obverse medallion features a Gold centerpiece with a crown and DI cypher below on a red enamelled field, encircled by a red enamelled ring with the inscription (For the Independence of Montenegro), again surrounded by a white enamel ring, the reverse
