The blade of this dagger is in excellent condition

ready to restore and clean or to display as it is

and without the chin strap there is nothing holding the liner into the helmet

The edge of the liner is about half intact

This is especially true of the early Luftwaffe "aviator" watches where different patterns were purchased during the 20's and 30's

The early 20th Century involved a lot of large changes in the uniforms and headgear used by the German empire, as the older Dunkelblau (Dark Blue) uniform patterns were replaced in the field by the more subdued Feldgrau (Field gray).
