They were made in Italy and are in a deep, almost black midnight navy leather. There is elastic at the back of the ankles and the heels are covered. Great shoes! The heels are 3 and 1 2 inches and the shoes measure just over 3 inches on the outside at the widest part of the sole. Other than sole scuffs, the shoes are in excellent condition.
