Really tolerant plant is drought resistant, adapted to a variety of soils, tough! Great as an ornamental or shade tree, up to 70' tall, medium to slow grower at 1 2 feet per year, loves sun. Large seed pods on the male tree in the fall, can be dried and used as a coffee replacement beverage, as Native peoples historically did. Female trees make large and showy blooms.
