We believe this was done post Vietnam War (1980s?) but it does appear to old and has excellent eye appeal. Therefore, the price has been set to reflect a post war creation. The hatchet bears the 5th SFG flash with Captains bars and reads: 5th S. F. G HATCHET FORCE CPT. H. J. STEERS SFOD B 36 3RD MSFC LONG HAI
