Here we have a very nice original Eagle Headed U. S. Officer's sword from the early 1800s. This exact pattern is of the 1821 regulation. The sword is all brass mounted with an interesting "D" hand guard and a very nice "closed mouth" Eagle head pommel. The grip is carved checked bone, and while it does show age, we do not see any cracks or chips on it at all. The eagle's head is very well executed, with a lovely
