Constructed of pebbled and silvered brass, the obverse bearing a central raised German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika topped by pair of lightning bolts, situated above a signal horn and within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of POSTSCHUTZ,the reverse with a clip and claws emanating from a functional roller, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of manufacture by F. W. Assmann
