A Mint Turkestan Legion Volunteer’s Sleeve Shield, First Pattern consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac silver hallmarked with right facing(Heer rmelschild fr Freiwillige Turkistan 1. Form). Constructed of field grey rayon, the obverse bearing a machine embroidered blue and red shield defaced by a Turkic bow, topped by an inscription of TURKISTAN, unmarked, measuring 70 mm (w) x 90 mm (h), in unissued and extremely fine condition.
