Original Napoleonic Midshipman's Curved Naval Dirk made with Hungarian Blade circa 1810 Lee-Enfield (SMLE) During the battleOriginal Item: Only One Available. This is very attractive and it could be either of BRITISH or FRENCH origin Circa the Napoleonic Wars. We tend to think it is in fact a French Naval Midshipman's short sword, in that Napoleon's wars with Austria produced all types of Austro Hungarian captured weapons, which could be the source of this wonderful blade. The blade measures 18 1 2" in length is curved and engraved on both side with very typical engravings
