A Waffen-Ss Em/Nco’s M40 Overseas Cap consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac Army Medal for the War(Waffen SS Schiffchen M40 fr Mannschaften). A well preserved Waffen SS EM NCOs M40 overseas cap, constructed of field grey wool. The cap is fully surrounded by fold down side walls which gently slope toward the front. The peak bears the unmistakable outline of an SS style German national eagle insignia which has been carefully removed from the cap, with no consequent disturbance of the base material.
