Vintage Tubbs Skis Evolutuion of the Ice Skate size 11 1/2Vintage Tubbs Downhill Skis 1920s 1930s Wood, Metal, Leather 83. 5" x 3. 5" Vintage Winter Tubbs downhill skis. Early metal bindings are on this pair of antique skis. The tubbs labels, both worn, are still visible on the ski tips. The double groove on the bottom was a technological innovation helping the ski to "track" in the snow. Ipsheming Michigan skiers with their old wood skis c. 1928.
