Description

produced Mourvedre with off-the-charts aromatic purity and perfect ripeness

The 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Cotes Capelan is the top wine from winemaker Stephane Vedeau and is mostly Grenache from a parcel named 'Côtes Capelan'

This remains one of the greatest wines of the '93 vintage with a simply dazzling breadth of aromas

The nose is intense and wafts out of the glass at nearest approach

the 2006 is huge

Gadais Pere et Fils, Domaine de la Tourmaline, Muscadet Sevre et Maine, Sur Lie 2007 Northwest produced Mourvedre with off-the-charts aromatic92 Points CellarTracker Member Heavier than your average Muscadet on the palate with a lot more taste. I think the its being sur lie has contributed to the roundness quite a bit. I thought it would be flat given the age and type of wine, but it flowed out of the bottle with bright acidity surrounded with sublime light Melon fruit. Quite out standing for the type of wine it is. Stood to moules marinieres we had with it. 12 18 2011
